  1. The skin and other waste of the cow after death should be properly processed and utilised. Intellectuals should enter in to this economic activity and introduce scientific and hygienic practices in removing skin and processing various by-products. This can become a sound economic and eco-friendly practice, if integrated with other animal welfare activities initiated by Goshalas which are starving due to paucity of funds.

6. Research and Developments:

  1. Systematic breeding programmes should be planned and initiated to develop appropriate breeds for Draught Animal Power (DAP).

  2. DAP should be popularised as renewable source of energy and efforts should be made to develop and popularise bullock driven implements, machinery equipments for agricultural operations, rural transport system, urban short distance and less load transport, fuel saving, water lifting etc.

  3.  Basic studies should be conducted on cow urine, its content keeping in mind, its qualities and utility in protecting plants from insects, pests and diseases.
