PROJECT PROFILE
Evaluation
Evaluation will be continuous process. There will be a permanent Project Evaluation Committee. The points of evaluation will be as follows:-
- Proper management of animal population.
- Increase in the number of trained and qualified villagers in cattle-management.
- Increase in the number of biogas - plants.
- Scientific use of compost manure and biological controls for pest management
- Improvement in soil fertility
- Rise in food production.
- Rise in milk production
- Rise in per capita milk consumption.
- Rise in the number of non-motorised transport vehicles in the project area.
- Increase in the number of
village artisans and village industry units.
- Increase in the number of processing units in the villages.
- Improvement in the general health of the population.
- Rise in the ground water table by better water shade management.
- Availability of sufficient safe drinking water through-out the year.
- Decrease in migration rate.
- Proper management of village common land and pastures.
- Improvement in the attitude towards animals.
- Community participation in development activities.
Project Administration
There will be a Project Implementation Committee to implement , guide and supervise the
project. An experienced and qualified social worker committed to the
cause will be the Director of the Project.
Five project co-ordinators trained and specialised in the field of breed development, energy development, organic manure and organic farming, leather development, Veterinary science and mass communication shall be appointed .
It is a participatory project hence the role of project co-ordinators will be that of enablers rather than officers.
